For introducers
Who to send, and who not to
Windmill builds the product. The operator pays from revenue. We take a handful of partnerships a year because we fund every build ourselves — so a precise intro is worth more than a long list.
Send someone who
- Knows the buyers in wealth or health, and can name them
- Will run the company and sell
- Will not fund a $300–800K build from cash, and will not give 25–40% equity to a studio
Do not send
- Idea-stage founders with no route to a buyer
- People looking for a development quote
- Anyone wanting a cheque without running the business
The deal, in four numbers
- $0
- Upfront. No fee, no retainer during the build.
- 0%
- Equity by default. They keep the company.
- 6%
- Of gross revenue, only after $25K MRR.
- 2.5×
- Then it ends — or after 48 months of payments, whichever is first.
If the product does not sell, they owe Windmill nothing. IP is theirs from the first commit. They stay CEO.
How an intro works
- 01
Warm intro to Sunny Gambhir — hello@windmill.ventures.
- 02
Fit call within two working days. We say no quickly when it is not a fit.
- 03
If it is a fit: two-week scope, funded by Windmill, then a signed build value.
